Message from the Principal

Summer is flying by, and we are getting excited to welcome our Cougars back for another amazing school year! While we hope you are enjoying these final weeks of rest, family time, and summer adventures, we also encourage everyone to begin preparing for a successful start to the school year.

One of the best ways to get ready is to help your child establish routines that support learning and independence. Reading together, practicing math facts, getting back into a consistent bedtime schedule, and talking positively about the upcoming school year can make a big difference in helping students feel confident and excited on the first day.

Our staff has been busy preparing as well, and teachers are beginning to return to campus to create welcoming learning environments for their students. We can't wait to open our doors and fill our hallways with the energy, laughter, and excitement that make Campbell such a special place.

This year, we are launching into a new adventure with our theme: 5 Houses, 1 Mission: Out-of-This-World Growth! 🚀✨ Throughout the year, students will have opportunities to grow academically, build character, strengthen relationships, and earn points for their PRIDE House as we work together toward our mission of helping every Cougar reach new heights.

We look forward to sharing additional back-to-school information in the coming weeks. Until then, enjoy these final days of summer, make lots of memories, and know that we are eagerly awaiting the return of our Campbell Cougars.

Get ready, Cougars—the countdown to an out-of-this-world year has begun! 🚀✨

❤️,
Mrs. Casey

🕝 School Hours

Our doors open at 6:45 am
The tardy bell rings at 7:15 am
Students are dismissed at 2:40 pm

Our car line can get backed up beginning around 7:05/7:10. Please plan to be in line by 7:00 to ensure your child has adequate time get to class and get settled before the bell rings.

We ask that you do your best to avoid picking students up early. We are teaching from 7:15-2:40. If you must pick up your child for a necessary appointment, please do so BEFORE 2:00. To ensure safety, all change of transportation requests MUST occur by 2:00 by calling the front office at 832-223-1300. You may also notify the teacher, but the front office MUST be notified, as teachers are focused on instruction and may not see notes/emails in time. Thank you for your understanding!

Tardies

Any student arriving on campus after the 7:15 AM bell must enter through the front office and receive a tardy slip before going to class.

Students are released to classrooms at 7:00 AM to begin unplacking and getting settled in for the day. Announcements & instruction begin promptly at 7:15. Please aim for having students arrive closer to 7:00 than 7:15. Being in a rush first thing in the morning can make students feel off balance and make for a rough start to the day. If you are in our car line by 7:00, you should never have an issue with tardies!

Supporting Learning at Home

Check out our website with resources for our parents to access!
This is a valuable resource to enrich your child's learning experience.

You are your child's first and most important teacher. We want to be a team in helping your child grow and reach their potential. Just by asking questions about your child's day (The initial answer to "What did you do at school?" is usually, "Nothing." Keep digging and ask specific questions. I promise, they never did "nothing!") and giving them a chance to talk about what they are learning, you are solidifying the connections in their brain.

The biggest thing we ask is that you take the time to READ WITH YOUR CHILD EVERY DAY! Kids never outgrow enjoying being read to. Bedtime stories and sharing your favorite stories/books teaches children to associate reading with love and comfort.
