Student Check Out and Classes
The library is open Monday through Friday from 6:45 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Classes will visit the library at their scheduled time. Kindergarten and first grade are permitted to check out one book per week. Students in second through fifth grades may check out two books. All books are checked out for a two-week period and may be renewed as needed. Students may not check out new books if the previous ones have not been returned or renewed. By Lamar C.I.S.D. policy, students are required to pay the replacement cost of any book that is lost or damaged beyond repair. Students will receive printed reminders. If a book cannot be found, the student will bring home a reminder to be signed by the parent. Lost book payments will collected in May.
